Policies
Cancellation
We have a strict cancellation policy and require a card on file to hold your appointment.
We ask for at least 48 hours notice so we can attempt to fill your slot. Any appointment canceled with less than 24 hours notice will incur a fee equal to the cost of the appointment missed. Rescheduling the appointment with less than 24 hours notice will incur a fee of $55. No call - no shows will incur a fee equal to the cost of the appointment missed, which is charged automatically to the card on file.
The fee is waived if a friend or family member can make and pay for the scheduled appointment in your place. To use this option, you must let us know they’re coming and provide us with their full name and mobile number.
The fee may be waived for absolute emergencies; this is determined on a case by case basis. In the case that a gift card, package, or trade session is being used, that session or gift card will be forfeited.
Insurance only covers provided medical services. It will not cover missed appointments or cancellation fees. In the case of a missed medical massage session, the fee must be paid by you personally. The fee is not the amount of your copay or co-insurance but rather the amount that would have been paid by your insurance company.
In the case of predicted extreme weather, please contact us as soon as you think it might be difficult to get to your appointment. If we do not hear from you or you do not give us prior notice, you may incur a fee.
Illness and Acute Injury
If you’re not feeling well, please let us know as soon as you think you might not be able to make it.
Massage can be counter-productive if you’re in the early or middle stages of an infection. Its ability to increase circulation, and therefore spread the infection, can cause you to feel worse, or to feel poorly for longer. In the case of acute injury, massage of the immediate area is not recommended or helpful in the first 48 hours after injury, and getting to your appointment can sometimes cause more harm than good.
A good rule of thumb is to ask yourself gently and honestly, would I be better served by resting and staying home, or by getting this massage?
If you have an infection that can be spread via respiration and decide to keep your appointment, we may ask you to wear a mask.
Covid, Masking, Screening, and Travel Waiting Periods
Masking is optional for clients, but providers wear masks. If you forget your mask, we are happy to give you one. We sanitize massage surfaces after each client, and office surfaces daily. If you’re not feeling well or exhibit symptoms of respiratory infection, you may be asked to wear a mask.
We are committed to the safety and health of our clients, our loved ones, and ourselves. We monitor current public health warnings to determine if and when to escalate our personal protective, sanitation, client health screening, and travel waiting period measures. Check back here for announcements or reach out to us if you have any questions about current protocols.
