Meet Kelly

Kelly learned bodywork in New York City at the Swedish Institute, a 1200-hour program encompassing the technique and theory of Eastern and Western massage practices. Prior to that she earned a B.A. in anthropology and creative writing from Columbia University. She’s been practicing massage since 2009.

Her specializations include:

• pain or injury related to sport or occupation (this includes parenting!)

• pain or injury related to repetitive stress

• hypermobility

• chronic pain and musculoskeletal issues

• postural and asymmetry issues

• the abdomen, ribcage, and diaphragm

Kelly grew up in Honolulu, Hawaii and spent a formative early adulthood in New York City. She’s a lifelong learner who enjoys getting to know the shyer and the more ridiculous parts of people’s personalities. Kelly believes strongly in touch as medicine; in movement as medicine; that slow is smooth and smooth is fast; and that rest is resistance.
